Supply chain attacks are treacherous. They do not target a company directly, but indirectly via its supply chain. To infiltrate malware, attackers exploit lower security standards of suppliers or vulnerabilities in shared IT systems. The high degree of interdependence of the German economy with strong business dependencies makes their work easier. And companies are inadequately prepared.
